Terms of Service

Last updated May 17, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and [Legal Entity Name] ("Credit for Startups", "we", "us") and govern your use of creditforstartups.com (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't, please don't use the Site.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) and able to enter a binding agreement to use the Site. If you use the Site on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company to these Terms.

2. What the Site is

Credit for Startups is a free, editorial directory of startup credits, perks, programs, accelerators, and grants. We aggregate publicly available program details to help founders discover and compare offers.

3. What the Site isn't

  • We are not the company offering the credit, perk, or grant. Every program is run by a third party with its own terms, eligibility rules, and approval process.
  • We are not a financial, legal, tax, investment, or accounting advisor. Nothing on the Site is professional advice. Verify with qualified advisors before acting on anything you read here.
  • We do not guarantee that any listed program will accept you, honor advertised values, or remain available.

4. Accuracy

We work hard to keep listings accurate, but program terms change often and outside our control. Always confirm details on the provider's official page before applying. If you spot something out of date, email brady@creditforstartups.com and we'll review it.

5. Acceptable use

When using the Site, you agree not to:

  • Scrape, mirror, frame, or republish substantial portions of the Site without our written permission.
  • Use automated systems (bots, crawlers) in a way that disrupts the Site or evades our access controls.
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or probe the Site for vulnerabilities outside of a responsible-disclosure context.
  • Use the Site to violate any law, infringe anyone's rights, or send spam.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with one.

We may suspend or terminate access for anyone violating these rules.

6. Outbound links and partner programs

The Site contains links to third-party websites that we don't control. We're not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. Some links to partner sites include UTM parameters or referral identifiers, and in some cases we may receive a referral fee, listing fee, or sponsorship from a partner. This never affects whether a program is listed or how we describe it. See our Partner Program Policy for details.

7. Intellectual property

The Site — including its text, graphics, layouts, code, and original editorial content — is owned by Credit for Startups and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Site for personal and internal business purposes. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

8. Trademarks

Company names, logos, and product marks belong to their respective owners. We use them for identification and editorial reference. Use of a third-party mark on the Site does not imply endorsement.

9. User submissions

If you submit a tip, correction, program suggestion, or other content to us, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and adapt it for operating and promoting the Site. You represent that you have the right to share what you send and that it doesn't infringe any third-party rights.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, completeness, or accuracy. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, Credit for Startups, its owners, officers, employees, and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, missed program deadlines, or rejected applications — arising out of or related to your use of the Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Site will not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100).

Some jurisdictions don't allow these exclusions or limitations, so they may not apply to you in full. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Credit for Startups from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you've violated these Terms. You can stop using the Site at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 14, and 15 — will survive.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the [State of [State]], USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in [County, State], and you and we consent to personal jurisdiction there. If you are a consumer resident in a jurisdiction with mandatory consumer-protection laws, nothing in this section limits the protections you have under those laws.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of the page and, for material changes, give you reasonable notice (for example, by posting a banner on the Site). Continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right. These Terms — together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Partner Program Policy — are the entire agreement between you and Credit for Startups regarding the Site. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
